Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long was fined $7,875 by the NFL for his role in an altercation between the Bears and St. Louis Rams last Sunday, but if it wasn't for a little brotherly love, it could have been worse.
The Chicago Trubune reports, the fine is for a confrontation between Long, and William Hayes of the Rams. Chris Long interjected himself into the scuffle to separate his brother from Hayes, stopping a kick from connecting with Hayes and potentially preventing an ejection.
The Bears take on the Vikings this weekend.
