The Chicago Bears could be extremely thin on the defensive line when they take on the New Orleans Saints.
Already missing Pro Bowler Henry Melton for the entire season, Chicago can't afford to be without Stephen Paea. Paea is listed as questionable, after injuring his toe last Sunday.
According to the Bears team website:
"Their only healthy players at the position are Nate Collins, Landon Cohen and rookie Zach Minter. Ends Julius Peppers and Corey Wooton are capable of moving inside."
Wooton and Peppers can play inside, but that's not an ideal situation for the Bears, who would lose a significant pass rushing presence on the outside.
Meanwhile, safety Anthony Walters has been ruled out, and receiver Brandon Marshall, cornerback Sherrick McManis, tight end Martellus Bennett, linebacker D.J. Williams and Peppers are probable and expected to suit up.
