There haven't been too many positives on the injury front so far this season for the Chicago Bears, but the team got two on Monday.
Cornerback Charles Tillman left Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after his groin injury flared up, but head coach Marc Trestman think's his Pro-Bowl cover man will be OK, according to Bears Insider,
“He was better this morning than he was a week ago at this time,” Trestman said. “I thought he played well for the time he was in there and we’re optimistic that it’s coming along. I talked to Chris Hanks this morning about it and he feels that we’ll get a better Charles Tillman next week than we had this week and I thought he played well when he was in there.”
The Bears are likely to once again rest Tillman early this week, before getting him some limited practice reps on Friday.
Meanwhile, defensive lineman Stephen Paea also was forced to leave the game on Sunday. He was reportedly seen wearing a protective walking boot leaving the locker room, but Trestman told reporters that he expects Paea to be able to suit up Sunday when the Bears host the New Orleans Saints.
