ESPNChicago.com reported that Terrell was caught with marijuana and other paraphernalia in the Bronzeville neighborhood Friday, and reportedly struck one officer. An officer was reportedly taken to the hospital, leading to additional misdemeanor battery charges for Terrell.
Terrell was selected eighth overall by the Bears in 2001, and played four seasons in Chicago. He caught 128 passes, for 1602 yards and nine touchdowns, but was cut after the 2004 season.
He made several attempts at NFL comebacks, but failed to stick with either the New England Patriots or Denver Broncos.
Prior to the NFL, he was a star at the University of Michigan.
Terrell was also arrested on domestic battery charges in 2012 after an alleged altercation with his girlfriend.
