Buffalo Sabres fans got their first glimpse of 2014 first round pick Samson Reinhart today at First Niagara Center. All of the 2014 draft picks. along with many other Sabres' top prospects were in attendance.
Samson Reinhart, the number two overall pick in the 2014 National Hockey League Draft hit the ice and showcased why he was selected with the Sabres' first pick.
"it was great," Reinhart said. "It was a thrill to have that all over with and finally come here. It's a lot more comforting knowing that's over and you can really enjoy the week and the first experience at an NHL level."
Hudson Fasching was also very excited to start playing with his teammates and learn about what it takes to become an NHL player.
"This is an up-and-coming organization for sure," Fasching said. "I come out here, and there's so much skill. Another thing I feel like is there's so many hard-working kids out there too; that's really encouraging to see."
The Sabres Development Camp runs from July 14 through July 18. The camp will commence on Friday with a 3-on-3 inter-squad tournament, which will be open to the general public.
The goals of the camp are to show prospective players the fundamental ideas of the Sabres playing system and expose them to the conditioning programs of an NHL player.
