Buffalo Sabres to Hold Development Camp in July

After an atrocious season, fans of the Buffalo Sabres are hoping that the future is bright with young stars.

They will have the opportunity to see what kind of talent Buffalo's prospect pool has.

The development camp will consist of about 40 prospects, including Buffalo's draft picks this season. The Sabres will hold open practices and workouts, and will even have an open scrimmage on July 15. The full schedule is posted below:


July 14: 

  • On-ice coach’s practice: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

July 15:

  • Pre-scrimmage skates: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Blue & Gold Scrimmage: 7 p.m.

July 16:

  • Off Day

July 17:

  • Practice/on-ice testing: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

July 18

  • Practice/three-on-three tournament: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.


The Sabres have one of the top-ranked prospect pools in the NHL, leaving some fans hopeful that the future is bright for the team. The Development Camp will serve as an opportunity for fans to get a glimpse at what could be the future of the organization.
