The Buffalo Sabres have announced that the team has signed prospect goaltender Linus Ullmark to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The terms of the contract have not yet been announced.
Ullmark was the Sabres sixth round pick (163 overall) of the Sabres in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The 6'3", 220 lbs. goaltender has been playing for the MODO hockey club in Sweden at both junior and elite levels.
Last season, Ullmark played in 35 games where he held a 2.08 goals against average and a .931 save percentage. At the conclusion of the season Ullmark was awarded the Swedish Hockey League's Honken Trophy for Swedish Goaltender of the Year.Tags: Buffalo, Buffalo Sabres, Hockey, NHL
