Pop star Justin Timberlake had to postpone his Buffalo show Feb. 22 due to an illness and rescheduling issues due in part to the Buffalo Sabres' schedule, he said Friday on "The Tonight Show."

Timberlake addressed the show with host Jimmy Fallon. He postponed the Buffalo show and a Madison Square Garden show earlier in the week. That show had to be made up this weekend, and the Sabres retake the First Niagara Center ice Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.

"I thought everyone who played hockey was still in Sochi, but apparently they come back pretty soon. And the Buffalo Sabres, they have to – we have to deal with so many schedules," he said before going on to apologize to Buffalo fans for the postponement. "I know what you're thinking: 'Justin, I don't want an apology. I want a concert.' Trust me, I hear you, Buffalo."

Timberlake went on to promise "we're going to party hard" on the makeup date July 9. He promised a full body massage from Fallon to any fan who's not satisfied after the July show. His world tour continues until Aug. 24 in Iceland.
