The Buffalo Sabres' snowed-out game from last will be made up during the NHL's Olympic break.

League officials said the postponed game from Jan. 7 against the Carolina Hurricanes will be made up Feb. 25. That's the final day of the league's 17-day break so that players could take part in the Sochi games.

The game will therefore be the first of a three-game homestand for the Sabres coming out of the Olympic break. After hosting the Caned Feb. 25, they will entertain the Boston Bruins on Feb. 26 and the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 28. The game will extend Carolina's road trip coming out of the break to five games.

A blizzard last week shut down Buffalo and its suburbs for two days.
