Buffalo Sabres’ Ryan Miller is NHL Second Star of the Week

The hot end of the year enjoyed by the Buffalo Sabres' Ryan Miller has earned him league-wide honors.

Miller was named the NHL's Second Star of the Week on Monday. He went 2-0-1 over the past week with a 1.55 goals-against average and .961 save percentage. His week was highlighted by a 49-save performance in Sunday's 2-1 win over Washington. He also helmed a 2-1 win over Phoenix and a 4-3 shootout loss to Toronto.

Patrick Sharp of Chicago was the first star. he had six goals and an assist i three games for the Blackhawks. Pittsburgh's James Nea was the third star. He had eight points in three games for the Penguins.
