The Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs will head into the first intermission tied 1-1.

Jay McClement opened the scoring for the Maple Leafs burying a rebound that bounced off of the goal post. Jason Pominville answered with a power play goal after spending the first minute of the power play struggling to enter the zone.

Robyn Regehr and Alexander Sulzer have been scratched in favor of Mike Weber and TJ Brennan for tonight's contest. Weber has had a strong game so far, most notably standing up to Toronto's Mike Brown after he leveled Patrick Kaleta into the boards from behind. Brown received a minor boarding penalty and a fighting major, while Weber received an instigating penalty, a fighting major and a 10-minute game misconduct.
