An intrasquad scrimmage will open the Buffalo Sabres' truncated training camp next week.
The team announced the public portion of its camp Friday. All events will take place at the First Niagara Center.
The scrimmage starts at 5:30 p.m. Monday and will feature three 15-minute periods. Parking will be free, and concessions will be discounted – as will items at the Sabres store, which is having a 50 percent off sale all next week.
Practices will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The season is set to begin next weekend.
