A federal mediator was kept busy by the NHL and NHLPA on Friday, putting in 13 hours of work as the two sides try to resolve their CBA issues.
Little was said about what was being debated, but the mediator was seen walking from site to site as the two segregated parties continued their debate.
Mediation continues at 10:30 a.m. today. The fact the two sides are still in Manhattan suggests progress is being made.
The sides are days away from forcing the cancelation of the entire season. Commissioner Gary Bettman has said no season will be played unless the deal is done by Thursday to end the lockout.
