The NHL and NHLPA will continue CBA discussions Wednesday after meeting for 90 minutes Monday. The topic of discussions for Wednesday, however, is not clear.
"I can confirm that we will be meeting [Wednesday] morning," Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly told NHL.com. "I don't know about the substance and I have no expectations."
NHL.com reports that the two sides are expected to meet around 10 am and that the Union wanted to discuss player contracting issues Monday, which was not something the NHL was interested in discussing on its own.
The league had requested that the Union submit a detailed proposal, but there have been no confirmation on whether the Union is expected to do so Wednesday or not.
More information on the discussions should be available once the meetings break.
