Mathew Barnaby has been arrested and charged with DWI after being stopped in Clarence for driving without a tire early Monday morning, WGR550.com reports.

Barnaby was stopped at around 3:15 Monday morning after authorities say his SUV was missing his driver's side tire, causing sparks and significant front end damage. Barnaby was processed and later released into his attorney's custody. He will be required to appear in Clarence Town Court on a date yet to be determined.

This is not Barnaby's first run-in with the law this year. In May he was charged with a handful of charges involving a domestic dispute with his estranged wife. Barnaby pleaded not guilty to the charges and was ordered to continue anger management counseling.

Barnaby began his career as a Buffalo Sabre in 1992-1993. He played 13 seasons with seven different teams before a concussion ended his career in 2007. He is currently an analyst for ESPN. There is no news yet on whether these new charges will effect his employment with the network.
