EA Sports has begun to release more information about their upcoming game Madden 15. This week, EA Sports announced that Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins was the fifth highest rated rookie in the game.

Watkins will be the highest rated rookie wide receiver in the game and as with recent Madden titles could be subject to having his rating raise or lower based on performance.

Recently Donny Moore of EA Sports, better known as the 'ratings czar' for the upcoming title explained in part how the ratings system works.

“We try to base it on real world data. We try to use 40-yard dashes. We try to use vertical jumps for things like jump ratings. We also use a lot of different opinions from either scouts or different NFL pundits. We try to cumulate all of that into one data point and that’s in Madden NFL 15.”

The upcoming title is set to release on August 26 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
