"I will tell you this: I have done something that will help keep the team stay in Buffalo. I just can't tell exactly what I've been doing or who I've been talking to."
Thomas took to Twitter over the weekend to back up his quote:
"Just trying to cover every angle that I can to make sure the #Bills stay in WNY …. #ThatsHowIRoll."
That news comes on the heels of an Associated Press report that an owner or ownership group should be announced before the end of summer. Among the prospective buyers with Buffalo ties are former Buffalo Sabres owner Tom Golisano, the Jacobs family that runs Delaware North and former quarterback Jim Kelly. Real estate mogul Donald Trump has also said he's interested in buying the team and keeping it in Buffalo.
The team remains in a trust under the control of Mary Wilson, widow of Ralph Wilson Jr. She's said she will see when she finds the time is right. The team's been valued at nearly $900 million by Forbes.Tags: Buffalo, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Donald Trump, Football, Jim Kelly, NFL, Ralph Wilson Jr., Thurman Thomas
