The Buffalo Bills and Jairus Byrd have two weeks to come to terms on a new agreement, and there are certainly plenty of teams in the NFL that will keep a close eye on the situation in case talks break down again.
The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly one of those teams.
CBS Sports reports that Byrd is at the top of Atlanta's list of free agents and will take a serious run at him if he hits the market. This news puts more pressure on Buffalo to get a deal done with Byrd, as he will likely get the money he is asking for elsewhere if he and the Bills don't reach an agreement.
Bills president Russ Brandon has kept his stance that there are no hard feelings from last season, when the two sides were unable to reach a deal, and Byrd was ultimately hit with the franchise tag. Byrd warmed up to Buffalo's system when he returned to the team midway through the season, where he had four interceptions.
