If NFL Pro Bowl balloting were to end today, four members of the Buffalo Bills would have been voted into the game.

The NFL announced that defensive end Mario Williams and linebacker Kiko Alonso are second and first, respectively, at their positions in balloting. Defensive tackles Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams are third and fourth, respectively. The NFL has instituted conference-less balloting this year, where the top players at each position get in and a "fantasy draft" will determine the lineups.

Williams has cooled the past month but still has a team-high 12 sacks. That's good for third in the NFL. He has 28 total tackles and two passes defended.

Alonso is a front-runner for the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. His team-high four interceptions have him tied for fourth in the NFL. He also is second in the NFL with 125 tackles. He has two sacks and five passes defended. He was NFL Defensive Player of the Month in September.

Dareus has 43 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Williams has 50 tackles and a career-high seven sacks.

Other Bills in the top 10 in voting at their positions are S Aaron Williams (sixth), K Dan Carpenter (10th) and special teamer Marcus Easley (10th).

In spite of having four defensive Pro Bowl players to date, the Bills are only 17th in the NFL in yards against per game and 24th in points against per game.

The Bills had three Pro Bowlers last year – Williams, RB C.J. Spiller and S Jairus Byrd. Four would be the most since Buffalo sent four players in 2004 (DT Sam Adams, CB Nate Clements, KR Terrence McGee, LB Takeo Spikes).

Pro Bowl voting continues through 6 p.m. Dec. 26. The game is at 7 p.m. EST Jan. 26.
