Thad Lewis will make his debut in a Buffalo Bills uniform Sunday, and says that timing will not be an issue with the wide receivers.
Lewis has gotten a full week of practice under his belt and feels confident that he and his receivers will be on the same page.
“It’s easy when you practice,” Lewis told Buffalobills.com. ”Now if I had to come in, like the three days I had in preseason, and just had to play and didn’t get any full speed reps, that would be difficult. But with three days of practice, you pretty much get the timing with the guys and (Wednesday) we had a good day.”
Lewis' usage of the term "easy" may raise an eyebrow or two, but it's hard to look past his confidence. Lewis hasn't been shy this week when addressing the media about his first start this season, after occupying a spot on Buffalo's practice squad for the first five weeks. Lewis seems poised and ready to lead the Bills on Sunday against a tough Bengals defense. Hopefully, for Bills fans, that poise and confidence will result in a good performance, and a win the team desperately needs.
