With all of the major changes to the Brooklyn Nets roster this summer it is certainly going to take some time for the players to get used to playing with one another. The team will begin officially working out at the end of September for training camp but veteran point guard Deron Williams wanted to speed up the learning curve a little.
Williams has organized a voluntary team workout in Los Angeles in order to build chemistry amongst the new look Nets. Many of the Nets major pieces will be in L.A. for the next few days to work out and get used to playing with each other. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News has reported that 10 players will be in attendance for the workouts. Of those 10 all five starters are expected to be on hand (Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Brook Lopez,) in addition: Shaun Livingston, Tyshawn Taylor, Jason Terry, Mason Plumlee and Alan Anderson will be in attendance.
The Nets that are missing include Mirza Teletovic (who is playing in Eurobasket,) Tornike Shengelia (who is recovering from knee surgery and Andrei Kirilenko, Reggie Evans and Andray Blatche (for unknown reasons.)
The workouts will be from Sunday- Friday near Pierce’s home in L.A.
