Earlier this week the Brooklyn Nets sent out a press release stating that season tickets for the upcoming season are nearly sold out. The team has a cap on the amount of season ticket holders they have which is reportedly around 13,000 seats. Since the trade with the Boston Celtics was reported the team has been quite busy in the ticket office, selling over $3 million in new season tickets. Last year in the inaugural season in Brooklyn the team sold approximately 11,000 season tickets.
It seems that the Nets newest pieces, including Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko, are certainly paying off already. The team will not begin selling individual tickets and group tickets until September and those are certain to be in high demand once they are released.
The team will be officially unveiling their newest acquisitions tomorrow at a press conference at the Barclays Center at 12 p.m.. Around 150 members of the media are expected to attend. Fans can watch the newest Brooklyn Nets by tuning into the YES Network's coverage or by going online brooklynnets.com where there will be a live stream. For those fans willing to bare the 93 degree heat, the team will also be streaming the conference on the big screen outside of the Barclays Center.
The 4 players are also the stars of the new Nets marketing campaign titled “Hello Brooklyn. We’re In,” which will be plastered all over New York City leading up to the start of the NBA season at the end of October.Tags: Andrei Kirilenko, Barclays Center, Basketball, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Nets, Jason Terry, Kevin Garnett, NBA, Paul Pierce, season tickets
