The Boston Red Sox announced that they have agreed to terms with eight International Prospects, including two of the top three pitching prospects available during this year's International period, which began on July 2. This collection of new prospects are the first International signings the club has made during this signing period.
Right-hander Anderson Espinoza was rated as the top International pitching prospect by Baseball America, while Christopher Acosta was third on that list. They will join the other six International players signed at the team's acadamy in the Dominican Republic.
The other players signed by the team include RHP Nicolo Clemente, LHP Luis Colmenares, RHP Jhosmar Cortez, RHP Junior Espinoza, RHP Roniel Raudes, and 3B Elwin Tejada.
