According to Celtics.com and Marc D'Amico all Rajon Rondo wanted for Christmas was a full court 5-on-5 scrimmage. He got his wish on Friday after practice.
The great part about the story was how the team rallied around the idea of getting Rondo some full court reps. Gerald Wallace had a few things to say about the post-practice scrimmage:
It's basically helping (Rondo) get his wind, get his rhythm back on the court, just help him get going back. This is what he needs. With the game that we've had, we haven't really had time in practive to go full-court or put stress on guys, so this is an opportunity for him to be able to get up and down he court.
It appeared that Rondo played pretty well, but his timing is a little off. Which should be expected, he's playing against guys who have been playing together for the past 2 months.
It's a big deal that his fellow teammates are willing to hang out and play some extra basketball in order to grow as a team and get Rondo comfortable with the game and with his teammates.
Just another step in the Rondo Redemption Tour.
