Avery Bradley, the 22-year-old shooting guard of the Boston Celtics, has never really found his stride as an NBA player. Each season was shortened by either an injury or a lockout. This season, he seems more ready than ever.
ESPN's Chris Forsberg caught up with Bradley, who has gotten him bigger through a strenuous workout regimen and new diet.
This whole summer, I’ve been playing every single day. I think I took like maybe three weeks off. My girlfriend kept telling me, 'You need to rest, you need a break.' But I was so excited to get back on the court and I’ve been here in Boston for maybe like two months, working out every day. Two a days. Me, Jared [Sullinger] and a few of the younger guys.
There's Jared Sullinger again, clearly showing his leadership and presence this summer. This is a great sign for Boston Celtics fans that are hoping for a competitive season. The team is practicing together and getting to know one another. Bradley and Sullinger have stepped to the forefront as leaders of this team. Maybe once Rondo returns, he will not have the onus to lead, and can simply let his play do the talking.
