After whirlwind road trip that saw the Bruins deal with suspensions, off-ice altercations, three wins, a blowout loss to the Canucks, and even more injuries, it was nice to see the team back on home ice.
The Bruin offense also got two assists from winger Jarome Iginla, who was playing through the pain of a serious hand injury. The match was also Iginla's second time facing his former team in the last week (the first being his emotional return to the city of Calgary).
The game was a good bounce back effort from the Boston keeper, who was coming off a game in which he got shelled. Against Vancouver on Saturday, Rask was yanked after allowing four goals on just 23 shots.
This game however, the load was a little lighter, as the Flames only managed to put 21 shots on the Boston net, including just four in the second period.
The Bruins will be back on the road, as they will travel up to Buffalo to face the Sabres on Thursday night.
