Ray Rice isn't the only Baltimore Raven that has got into trouble with the law this offseason. On March 9, Ravens offensive lineman Jah Reid got involved in an incident outside of a strip club in Key West, Florida. Reid allegedly head-butted, punched, and kicked a man. He also had an altercation with a security guard in which he allegedly assaulted him. Both incidents have reportedly been caught on video. Reid has pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of battery and currently remains free on bail.
Reid, 25, was drafted by the Ravens in the third round (85th overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has played in 25 games with the Ravens. He became the team's starter at left guard in 2012 and started seven games before suffering a season-ending injury. He has seen time at both guard and tackle throughout his first three seasons.
Reid has a cap hit of $785,810 this season and is in the final year of his rookie deal. Based on his lack of production on the field, his battle with injuries, and this incident happening off the field, one has to wonder if Reid's days in black and purple are numbered.
