The Baltimore Ravens were feeling good after their week three victory over the Houston Texans, but the Buffalo Bills proved the Ravens' offense and defense has a long way to go. Joe Flacco threw a career high five interceptions, while the defense allowed over 200 yards rushing in their 23-20 defeat.

It wasn't pretty, not in the least, and despite everything that was going wrong for the Ravens, they still had a chance at the end of the game to escape with a victory, but it was not to be.

Balitmore was driving late in the game, but Flacco threw over the middle in tight coverage and his pass was tipped and fell into the hands of the Buffalo defense for his fifth interception of the day and icing the game for the Bills.

"A lot of that falls on me today and just throwing the ball to the wrong team," said Flacco. "If we don't do that, then this game probably looks a little different."

Flacco ended up throwing the football 50 times in the game as the Ravens running game could not get going whatsoever and seemingly forced offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell to abandon the run all together in the second half. The Ravens ran the ball just twice the entire final two quarters and finished the game with just 24 total rushing yards on nine, yes nine carries.

Despite forcing three turnovers in the game, the Ravens defense had their struggles and allowed 203 total rushing yards against a team that was struggling with injuries the entire game in the backfield. Buffalo ran the ball 55 times in the game for an average of 3.7 yards per carry, which came as a big surprise against a Baltimore defense that has been very good against the run.

Flacco finished the game completing 25 of his 50 pass attempts for 347 yards, two touchdowns and five interceptions, while Ray Rice carried the ball five times for 17 yard and Torrey Smith reeled in five grabs for 166 yards and a touchdown.

We will certainly dive into this game more as the week progresses, but Baltimore will have a lot of work to do this week to rectify their struggles, both offensively and defensively. Fortunately for the Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals also lost yesterday, and now find themselves in a three way tie for first place in the AFC North with the Bengals and Cleveland Browns.
