It's finally game day folks and we here at Ravens101 are going to bring you all the Baltimore Ravens news you need today and throughout the season. This morning we will touch on the final injury reports for both the Ravens and the Denver Broncos.
We will start with the defending Super Bowl Champion Ravens who did not have any real surprises with their final injury report that included ruling out DT Arthur Jones who is dealing with a Non-Football related illness that neither the Ravens or Head Coach John Harbaugh have been willing to expand on, stating that Arthur can inform the media when he feels necessary, but we are told it is not life threatening in any way.
Baltimore also listed three players as doubtful, which they might as well have listed them as out for the game because they are not going to play. C Ryan Jensen, DT Brandon Williams and WR Deonte Thompson are all listed as doubtful tomorrow, and it is a little disappointing that Ravens fans will have to wait to see the regular season debut of Baltimore's third round draft pick in Williams, who is dealing with a toe injury.
The good news is that there is not really any fence sitting for the Ravens and their injury report as no one is listed as questionable, and both TE Ed Dickson and DE Pernell McPhee are listed as probable for tonight's opener. It is vastly important that Dickson appears good to go as Dallas Clark has not seemed like he has gelled much with quarterback Joe Flacco as of yet, so Dickson's presence could be vastly important to the Ravens offense.
Now for the hosting Broncos, and if you have not heard by now, you have missed a lot of jokes around the social media world. Denver has ruled out CB Champ Bailey due to a sprained foot and the jokes you have been missing were that Bailey was scared to face Ravens WR Torrey Smith again, after Smith torched Bailey in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game last year. We here at Ravens101 want to give props to whomever it was that showed a picture of a burnt piece of toast in reference to Bailey's fear of Smith as that topped the joke list.
Denver has also ruled out RB C.J. Anderson and TE Joel Dressen, as well as listing G Chris Kuper as doubtful.
Here are the full injury reports for both teams:
OUT: RB C.J. Anderson (knee), CB Champ Bailey (foot), TE Joel Dreessen (knee)
DOUBTFUL: G Chris Kuper (ankle)
PROBABLE: DE Robert Ayers (Achilles), T Ryan Clady (shoulder), QB Brock Osweiler (left shoulder), WR Wes Welker (ankle)
