The Baltimore Ravens have wasted no time in selecting their next Ring Of Honor inductee and it comes as no surprise that Baltimore will induct future Hall of Famer, LB Ray Lewis.

The Ravens announced that they will induct Lewis into the Ring of Honor in week 3 of the 2013 NFL season when Baltimore hosts the Houston Texans. Even less surprising is that the Ravens chose the Texans as the opponent as Ed Reed will be in attendance with his new team to see Lewis get inducted. It will not be long after Reed retires that he will join Lewis with the highest praise by the Ravens' organization.

Lewis is a no question future Hall of Famer and unless Art Modell gets inducted before Lewis, Ray will become the second Raven to enter Canton after LT Jonathan Ogden gets inducted next month.

He is one of, if not the greatest middle linebackers to ever play the game and his two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards represent that. He is also a 10 time All-Pro selection and 13 time Pro Bowl selection. Lewis was not just a regular season player either, his Super Bowl XXXV MVP from the Ravens first ever Super Bowl Championship shows that.

We will never forget Ray's last ride that allowed him to enjoy the confetti one last time as the Ravens hoisted the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLVII in the last game he would ever play.

The two-time Super Bowl Champion Ray Lewis has been the face of this franchise since its inception basically and he was the second ever draft selection (Ogden) in Ravens history. Being inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor will just be the first of many post-career accolades that Lewis will accrue.

Ravens101 feels that we can speak for all Ravens fans when we say….THANK YOU RAY!
