The Baltimore Ravens continued to hit the practice field yesterday on day two of their mandatory mini-camp this week. Some interesting storylines came out of Owings Mills yesterday including a scuffle between two players.
A scuffle broke out on the Ravens practice field yesterday as Jah Reid and Courtney Upshaw tossed some punches. Upshaw and Reid locked up and Reid's helmet was even popped off and Reid threw several punches, most of which were blanks not landing anywhere. Head Coach John Harbaugh stepped in and stopped the fight before Upshaw could throw any punches of his own. It is unknown who started the skirmish.
Ngata was a limited participant for the second straight day as he is working his way back from a sprained left knee that he suffered in the Super Bowl. The primary focuses for Ngata have been to work on his conditioning and range of motion for the knee. Ngata knows there is no reason to push it at this point in the offseason and plans to be 100% by the start of training camp.
There are several players at the mini-camp who were practicing on a limited basis yesterday: cornerback Lardarius Webb (ACL), linebackers Arthur Brown (sports hernia surgery), Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion) and Albert McClellan (shoulder surgery) and wide receiver Marlon Brown (ACL).
Four players did not practice yesterday: offensive guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder surgery), nose guard Terrence Cody (hip surgery), defensive lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore (ACL) and offensive lineman Antoine McClain (foot surgery).
Today is the final day of the three day mini-camp and with the weather in the area the Ravens will likely practice indoors.
