Tonight at 8 PM on the NFL Network the 2013 NFL Schedule will be released and Baltimore Ravens fans, and NFL fans in general will be glued to the television to see how their team's schedule looks and what other marquee matchups will be on primetime.
Of course, for Ravens fans they know that their team will be playing on Opening Thursday Night on the road, the first defending Super Bowl Champion to do so in several years, but we do not know where yet. Many have speculated, but honestly, if Baltimore is not in Denver to take on the Broncos on Opening Night, I will be shocked.
Perhaps more intriguing will be how many primetime games the Ravens garner coming off of their Super Bowl title as they would have several attractive matchups for the world to see. Baltimore is scheduled to host both Green Bay and New England this season, and both of those games could end up on Sunday or Monday night time slots. Let's not forget that anytime Baltimore and Pittsburgh hook up it is a potential prime time matchup as well.
Let's recap who the Ravens are set to play this upcoming season, the Ravens' road opponents for 2013 are: Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Detroit and Denver. On the flip side of the that, Baltimore's home opponents are Green Bay, New England, Minnesota, Houston, New York Jets, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati.
The Ravens will have a pretty tough schedule regardless of the amount of primetime games as they will play seven games against teams that made the playoffs last year and three more against teams that were just one game out of going to the playoffs.
Baltimore did catch a break however, as if you really look at their scheduled opponents, most of their tough games are at M&T Bank Stadium, where they have been practically unbeatable in recent memory, especially under Head Coach John Harbaugh. Hopefully, the 12th man at M&T Bank Stadium will be able to help lead the Ravens to yet another 8-0 or 7-1 home record.
We will have a full story tomorrow on the Ravens 2013 schedule and how it looks for Baltimore.
