Orioles101 Daily Minor League Rundown: 8/24 2-4 Sunday for Affiliates

Here is your daily Baltimore Orioles Minor League rundown with quick game summaries for each of the Orioles Minor League affiliates for the day. Keep in mind that we have kept this to the five major affiliates, but will give you periodic updates on the Orioles DSL and GCL teams as well throughout the summer.

AAA Norfolk Tides (61-74)

Tides lose 8-7

  • Jimmy Paredes went 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI
  • Alexi Casilla went 2-4 with a double and RBI
  • Josh Stinson allowed seven runs over 5 2/3 innings

AA Bowie Baysox (67-66)

Baysox win 1-0

  • Garabez Rosa went 1-3 with a double and run scored
  • Chris Marrero went 1-3 with a RBI
  • Nick Additon allowed just three hits over six shutout innings

High-A Frederick Keys (59-68)

Game 1

Keys win 4-3

  • John Ruettiger went 3-4 with a run scored
  • Brenden Webb had a home run and two RBI
  • Mark Blackmar allowed three runs and four hits in seven innings pitched

Game 2

Keys lose 12-1

  • Chih-Hsien Chiang had a solo home run for the Keys lone hit
  • Dennis Torres allowed five runs in 2 1/3 innings

Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds (64-68)

Shorebirds lose 6-3

  • Austin Wynns went 2-4 with a double and a RBI
  • Chance Sisco went 1-3 with a double and a RBI
  • Dariel Delgado allowed two runs over six innings of work

Short-Season A Aberdeen Ironbirds (22-45)

Ironbirds lose 3-2

  • Jamill Moquete went 1-3 with a solo home run
  • Riley Palmer went 2-4 with a solo home run
  • Bobby Bundy and Zach Albin combined to throw 5 scoreless innings of relief
