Orioles101 Daily Minor League Rundown: 8/14 Just One Loss for Baltimore Orioles Affiliates

Here is your daily Baltimore Orioles Minor League rundown with quick game summaries for each of the Orioles Minor League affiliates for the day. Keep in mind that we have kept this to the five major affiliates, but will give you periodic updates on the Orioles DSL and GCL teams as well throughout the summer.

AAA Norfolk Tides (57-69)

Tides win 4-2

  • Alexi Casilla went 3-4 with a run scored
  • Jimmy Paredes went 2-4 with a double, RBI and run scored
  • Chris Jones allowed just one run on five hits over five innings

AA Bowie Baysox (61-63)

Baysox win 11-6

  • Chris Marrero went 2-4 with a home run and five RBI
  • Buck Britton went 3-5 with a triple, RBI and three runs scored
  • Oliver Drake tossed two innings to pick up his 26th save of the season

High-A Frederick Keys (54-64)

Keys win 4-1

  • Tucker Nathans went 3-4 with a double and run scored
  • John Ruettiger went 2-5 with a home run and three RBI
  • Branden Kline allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings

Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds (61-62)

Shorebirds win 1-0

  • Austin Wynns went 1-3 with a double and the lone RBI of the game
  • Josh Hart went 2-4
  • Janser Severino tossed six shutout innings allowing just three hits

Short-Season A Aberdeen Ironbirds (21-38)

Game 1

Shorebirds win 10-7

  • Riley Palmer went 3-5 with a RBI and run scored
  • Alex Murphy went 2-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored
  • Luc Rennie tossed four no-hit innings of relief with seven strikeouts

Game 2

Shorebirds lose 3-2

  • Jamill Moquete went 1-3 with a double, RBI and run scored
  • Hector Veloz went 1-2 with a walk and RBI
  • Lucas Long allowed three runs (two earned) in four innings
