Orioles101 Daily Minor League Rundown: 8/5 1-3 Day for Baltimore Orioles Affiliates

Here is your daily Baltimore Orioles Minor League rundown with quick game summaries for each of the Orioles Minor League affiliates for the day. Keep in mind that we have kept this to the five major affiliates, but will give you periodic updates on the Orioles DSL and GCL teams as well throughout the summer.

AAA Norfolk Tides (54-64)

Tides lose 6-2

  • Christian Walker went 3-4 with a home run
  • Henry Urrutia went 2-5
  • Tyler Wilson allowed two runs on five hits over six innings

AA Bowie Baysox (57-59)

Baysox lose 3-1 in 11 innings

  • Mike Yasztrzemski went 2-4 with a double and RBI, hitting .307 since promotion
  • Michael Ohlman went 2-3
  • Tim Berry allowed just one run on three hits over six innings

High-A Frederick Keys (52-58)

Keys win 7-3

  • Trey Mancini went 3-4 with a double and two runs scored
  • Wynston Sawyer went 3-4 with a RBI and run scored
  • Dylan Bundy tossed 4 1/3 innings allowing no runs on five hits and struck out seven

Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds (56-58)

Shorebirds lose 8-5

  • Gregory Lorenzo went 3-5 with a double, triple, and two RBI
  • Anthony Caronia went 2-5 with a double and two RBI
  • Luis Gonzalez had a rare bad start as he allowed six runs on four hits, and three walks over 5 1/3 innings. His ERA is still 2.84 for the season.

Short-Season A Aberdeen Ironbirds (18-32)
