Orioles101 Daily Minor League Rundown: 7/31 2-4 Day on Thursday

Here is your daily Baltimore Orioles Minor League rundown with quick game summaries for each of the Orioles Minor League affiliates for the day. Keep in mind that we have kept this to the five major affiliates, but will give you periodic updates on the Orioles DSL and GCL teams as well throughout the summer.

AAA Norfolk Tides (53-60)

Tides lose 8-7 in 11 innings

  • Henry Urrutia went 3-4 with a double and RBI
  • Christian Walker went 2-4 with a double and RBI
  • Tyler Wilson allowed four runs on seven hits in four innings

AA Bowie Baysox (56-56)

Baysox lose 9-4

  • Mike Yastrzemski went 2-5 with a triple, home run, and two runs scored
  • Kyeong Kang went 3-5 with a run scored
  • Ashur Tolliver threw two scoreless innings of relief

High-A Frederick Keys (49-57)

Keys win 9-7

  • Jerome Pena went 3-3 with two doubles, a triple, and two RBI
  • Trey Mancini went 3-5 with a double and three RBI
  • Parker Bridwell allowed four runs (three earned) in four innings pitched

Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds (56-54)

Shorebirds lose 6-3

  • Jeff Kemp went 3-5 with a run scored
  • Creede Simpson went 2-5 with a RBI
  • Mitch Horacek allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings

Short-Season A Aberdeen Ironbirds (16-30)

Game 1

Ironbirds win 3-2

  • Tanner Murphy went 3-3
  • Riley Palmer went 2-3 with a double, home run and two RBI
  • Tanner Chleborad tossed five shutout innings

Game 2

Ironbirds lose 8-2

  • Austin Anderson went 2-3 with a double and RBI
  • Alex Murphy went 1-2 with a double, RBI and a walk
  • Lucas Long took the loss allowing three runs in 3 2/3 innings
