It's time for another edition of Orioles101's Minor League spotlight and today we focus on a slew of Baltimore Orioles minor league prospects who were promoted after the All Star break and made their debuts with their new affiliates this week.

Three of the bigger names in the Orioles organization have been 1B Christian Walker, and outfielders Dariel Alvarez and Mike Yastrzemski, all of whom were promoted after the All Star break. Walker and Alvarez were promoted to AAA Norfolk from AA Bowie, while Yastrzemski was promoted to AA Bowie from High-A Frederick.

It is actually the second promotion of the season for Yastrzemski as he began the year with the Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds and made their respective All Star Game, and was promoted to the High-A Frederick Keys. It didn't take long before the Orioles wanted to really see what the grandson of the legendary Carl Yastrzemski has as they promoted him again to Bowie.

Yaz made his debut for the Baysox on Thursday Night and if what he did is any indication, he is up for the newest challenge of his pro career as he proceeded to go 4-5 with a triple and two runs scored at the plate, and oh by the way, made a diving catch in center field. Pretty hard to argue that he made one heck of a debut and seems like he could be a guy to pay attention to in the coming years.

Walker and Alvarez also made their debuts after a promotion on Thursday Night, but did so with the Tides.

Walker, who absolutely raked in AA Bowie in the first half of the season, did not record a hit in his debut, but do not let that fool you. He was a big reason for the Tides victory that night as he reached base in three of his five at bats as he walked three times and also scored two runs.

Alvarez did record a hit and it was a big one. The Tides were clinging to a one run lead entering the bottom of the seventh, but Alvarez delivered a huge insurance run as he doubled for his first AAA hit and RBI and wouldn't you know it, he knocked in Walker.

Baltimore and their fans should be both proud and excited to see these three players make such fantastic debuts at their new affiliates as they all have some promising futures ahead of them and hopefully they will help the Orioles continue their recent trend of success.
