Social Media has given the world an enormous amount of freedom and access to whomever wants to use and we here at Orioles101 take advantage of the opportunity at times and recently was able to ask Baltimore Orioles newly acquired RHP Brad Brach some questions.

Brach was acquired by the Orioles via trade back in November from the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league starter Devin Jones.

Before we get to the questions, let's learn a little more about Brach. He has spent his entire professional career in the Padres organization and has been a reliever his entire big league stint. He  was 3-6 with a 3.70 ERA over parts of three major league seasons with San Diego. In 2013, he was 1-0 with a 3.19 ERA, while allowing 36 hits, 31 strikeouts and 19 walks in 31 innings. He had 15 holds while pitching to a 3.78 ERA in 2012, recording career highs in innings with 66 2/3 and appearances with 67. Brach is equally effective against both right handed hitters as well as left handers holding both to batting averages below .250 throughout his career.

Now let's get to the interview.

Orioles101: Can you describe how you felt when you got word that you were traded to the Orioles?

When I got word I was traded to the O's, I was excited for the fresh start. New coaches and new eyes to watch me. Just excited!

Orioles101: What's your mindset now that you will be pitching for your second organization?

My mindset with the O's is to help us win. Whatever I can do to help us win as many games as possible, that's always my goal.

Orioles101: What part of pitching for the Orioles are you most looking forward to?

The thing I'm most excited about with the O's is pitching on the East Coast again. Being there, there's nothing like it!

Orioles101: Do you have and past experience or playing time with any of your new teammates on the Birds?

I don't have any prior playing experience with any of my new teammates. Played against a few, but nothing besides that.

Orioles101: For the O's fans that are not yet familiar with your pitching style, how would you describe it?

My pitching style is a little across my body. Work fast. Throw strikes. Throw fastballs, sliders and change ups sums it up.

Orioles101: Last one for you, who is your favorite football team and who wins this year's Super Bowl?

Growing up in NJ, I am a Giants fan. Rough year for them. I think Broncos get it done this year. We'll see though, tricky year.

We would like to thank Brad for taking the time to respond to a few questions for us and if you would like to see his live responses to our questions, you can follow him on Twitter @BradBrach58.

He adds a quality right handed arm in the Orioles bullpen and his ability to get both left and right handers out is a valuable weapon for Manager Buck Showalter out of the pen.
