Well, Adam Jones enjoyed playing in the postseason so much in 2012, that despite his team not getting into the playoffs in 2013, Jones will get a taste of the playoffs as he is joining the MLB Network cast as an analyst.
Adam knew the news meant something, and after the news was announced, he almost immediately tweeted,
"Guess I'll have to get a haircut soon."
Harrelson will be the first guest analyst on "MLB Tonight" with a two-night stint beginning Friday, Oct 4. Jones will make his debut during the League Division Series on October 6-7, while Teixeira will appear on October 8-9, followed by DeRosa on October 10-11. Ibanez will work the League Championship Series on Oct. 15-16.
Several former Orioles have ventured into the broadcast or analyst fields, but not many as colorful and humorous as Jones, thus this should be some must see T.V. for Orioles fans and all baseball fans in general.
Anyone else wondering if he will be chewing gum on set? That would almost be as cool as this baseball memorabilia from MJR Sports Integrity!
