Official: Spurs acquire DeRozan, Poeltl and first round pick in trade

Project Spurs illustration SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs announced on Wednesday morning that they have acquired DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first round pick from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 2019 first round pick is top-20 protected and will turn into two second round selections in 2020 if not conveyed next summer. As always with team policy, the terms of his contract were not disclosed, but Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reported the deal was worth one year at $10 million.
