The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Philips Arena by playing fast and big. The third quarter was key for the Hawks as they kept pushing the ball to extend their lead and finish with a 103-92 win.

For Atlanta, Jeff Teague had a great game as he scored 22 points and 13 assists. Josh Smith added 19 points and 11 boards and Al Horford also had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Korver added 12 points as he tied with Mookie Blaylock with 42 consecutive games with a three pointer made (franchise record).

For the Grizzlies, Zach Randolph led them in scoring with 20 points. Point guard Mike Conley scored 17 and big man Marc Gasol added a double-double of his own with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Jeff Teague on the win: "We just came out and played well. In the first half we came out with a lot of energy, played a lot of team basketball tonight. The second half they made their run, they are a good team but we sustained the run and got a big win for us." He added, "We are just a really good team when we are sharing the ball, we've got to continue to do that."

Larry Drew on Anthony Tolliver's play: "It won't take me having to go back and look at the tape to see how much he impacted the game. Just from the little things that he was doing, constantly in Tayshaun's face and active hands and helping down in the post. I thought his length was very, very effective tonight."

Kyle Korver on the record for consecutive games with a three pointer made: "It's good, it means that I'm making some shots. I don't like to talk too much about them because that's when things seem to end and go south, so (knocks on wood) keep shootin'!"

Coach Larry Drew would go on to say that he emphasized that the Hawks push the tempo because he could see Memphis struggling to get up and down the floor. He added that Jeff Teague did a great job of setting the tone, Al Horford and Josh Smith had good games (both had double-doubles) and that it was good to get Devin Harris back in the mix to add some pressure and push the ball. He thought that Atlanta's size tonight was key in winning the battle on the boards.
