Kyle Korver led the Atlanta Hawks with 22 points and seven rebounds, he had an emphatic dunk at the end of the game that brought his teammates to their feet. Lou Williams came off of the bench to drop in 21 points, four rebounds and five assists. Al Horford had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Jeff Teague scored 15 points (13 of them came in the first quarter). Josh Smith had 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists as Atlanta maintains their even record of 4-4.
Power forward Jason Thompson led the Kings with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Reserve Marcus Thornton contributed 17 points and Tyreke Evans added 14. Back up point guard Aaron Brooks scored 13 and Kings' big man DeMarcus Cousin only scored nine points but brought down 16 rebounds with seven assists.
The Sacramento Kings go to Brooklyn to face the Nets and then come back to the West Coast to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. The loss to the Hawks brings the Kings record to 2-7.
The Atlanta Hawks have two home games coming up; the first is against the Orlando Magic and on the next one they will take on the Washington Wizards.
