Al Horford finished the game with 23 points and 12 rebounds and Lou Williams scored 19 points with four assists. The two were like bookends as Williams scored 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, he had a stretch where he scored 10 straight points in the final period. Horford, on the other hand, scored eight of Atlanta's first 13 points and also played big for the Hawks in the third quarter. Jeff Teague also had a good first quarter, he scored eight in the first and finished the game with 16.
Kevin Martin came off of the bench to lead the Thunder with 28 points. All star forward Kevin Durant added 22 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. The other All star, Russell Westbrook, had a cold night scoring but still managed 14 points and nine assists. Serge Ibaka also scored 14 points for the Thunder.
As for Lou Williams, Coach Larry Drew said "Lou got into a rhythm. He got into a rhythm and we were going to ride it." Drew stuck with a lineup of Devin Harris, Zaza Pachulia, Al Horford, DeShawn Stevenson and Lou Williams late in the game because they "had a good rhythm going" as he put it.
Up next for the Atlanta Hawks are the Indiana Pacers, who hold a record of 2-1. The Pacers are led by forwards David West (19 points and 8.7 rebounds per game) and Paul George (14 points and 13 rebounds per game).
