It was announced today that the Jaguars and Falcons coaching staffs will coach against each other in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.  A contest that divides some of the best draft prospects in the league into two teams to showcase their talent before the training combine, and eventually the NFL draft.

The Falcons and the Jaguars had two of the worst seasons in the NFL with both teams finishing at 4-12.  Seeing as how both teams need a lot of help this offseason, it seems rather appropriate then that these two coaching staffs will be able to work hand in hand with some of the best talent at the college level before anyone else can.

Coach Mike Smith recognizes the great opportunity in being able to actually coach these players and fully evaluate them without having to rely heavily on a scouting report at first blush.

"The week of practice provides a great opportunity to get to know these players on a personal level, but being able to coach these young men will give us the ability to work hands on with them and evaluate them," Smith said.
