Gonzalez was selected mainly for guiding the Braves to the National League East title last season, their first since 2005. He has also finished in the top five for NL Manager of the Year voting in all three years since he took over for Bobby Cox.
Pittsburgh Pirates skipper Clint Hurdle will also coach the NL along with Gonzalez, while Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell tabbed Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona and Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire.
