It's true. Chipper Jones throwing out the first pitch of game one of the National League Division Series to the mascot was weird enough, but the reason no Atlanta Braves players caught it was because they boycotted him, reports.

The Braves' distaste for Jones apparently dates back to his prediction that the Los Angeles Dodgers would win the series in an interview with 680 The Fan, leading to no one offering to receive the pre-game ceremonial pitch.

For the record, Tim Hudson caught Bobby Cox's first pitch before game two of the series.
