The Atlanta Braves will start their season on national TV on April 1 when ESPN2 broadcasts their first game from Turner Field against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The 7 p.m. start is part of an Opening Day doubleheader and just the second time in nine seasons that the Braves will have opened the season at home.
April 2 holds the traditional off-day in the case of a rainout, so teams won't have to miss out on their home opener or have to give out rain check tickets to the larger Opening Day games.
After their three-game series with the Phillies, the Braves host the Chicago Cubs for three games before departing to Miami and Washington.
