Shortstop Paul Janish agreed to rejoin the Atlanta Braves in 2013 with a one-year deal to avoid arbitration, Dave O'Brien tweeted earlier today.
O'Brien reports that the Braves and Janish had actually reached the deal earlier in the offseason, but that no official announcement had been made.
Janish, a career .216 hitter, is being brought back largely to back up Andrelton Simmons. He is renowned for his range and arm.
