Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder A.J. Pollock was named a co-player of the week along with Yasiel Puig of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Pollock has been the D-backs bright spot this week as he is beginning to display the talent that he was projected as an outfielder in the D-backs line-up.
In this week alone Pollock has a batting average of a whopping .500 which made him the NL leader, and adding a slug percentage of .909 also lead the NL last week and out dueled his counter part of the award Puig in Chase field.
Sundays game against the Dodgers Pollock really showcased his batting skills as he recorded his third multi-hit outing going 3-4 in the game. Saturday he went 4-6 batting recording two RBI and three run scored and also his fifth home run all in the same game, as he helped pile on a 18-7 spanking of the rival Dodgers.
It is an understatement to say he is hot, he is scorching and the D-backs need him to continue his swinging ways to help climb out of the under 500 mark on the season.
Winning series is the name of the game, and wining more of them could bring the winning percentage to .700 the rest of the way, and it could end up a great turn around season.Tags: Arizona, Arizona Diamondbacks, Baseball, MLB
