The team then moved west to Arizona and played in Arizona State’s Sun Devil Stadium from 1988 to 2005. In 2006, University of Phoenix Stadium opened its doors. The stadium cost 455 million dollars and can hold over 63,000 fans. The stadium has hosted Super Bowl XLII as well as the 2011 BCS National Championship Game.
